The Allen & Heath ZED 6 is an analog mixing console from the "ZED Compact" series with two microphone and two stereo channels. Both channels also have a High-Z input for connecting high-impedance signals such as electric guitars or basses. A highlight of the ZED-6 small mixer is the extremely low-noise GSPre microphone preamps - even with the gain control turned up, the preamp here remains free of extraneous noise. Equally pleasing is the design of the main output as an XLR socket - this eliminates the need for an adapter solution for connecting the console or special connection cables for active speakers or power amplifiers.
